The Coleman Mosquito Deleto can be used two different ways. I can be used to attract mosquitoes or repel the mosquitoes. I personally like to use it to repel them. This one works the best for me since I just don’t want them around. I want to be able to sit and relax knowing that I don’t have to worry about getting eaten while I am chilling. Life is a whole lot easier when I’m just relaxing and not worrying. At home on the porch I usually don’t have to use the contraption, but sometimes I have to break it out. Normally on the porch I will use the Mosquito Deleto the opposite way I do while camping. I will use it to attract the mosquitoes. I will hang it up on the porch and keep them away. If you do this on a small enough porches it attracts them to go up, which is just what I wanted.
You will have to use the inhibitor with the mosquito deleto t repel the mosquitoes. The inhibitor is designed to repel the monsters away from you. Coleman recommends that you use it only every once in a while. What it does is disperses the smell and scents that repel the mosquito. The inhibitor is supposed to be used near a group of people. You can keep it far away from you and expect it to work correctly. If it’s near you, the it will keep them away from you like magic. Also if there are winds that are more than 15 to 20 miles an hour, you will want to put the Coleman mosquito deleto unit to be blowing with the wind, not behind you and against the wind as this will not work properly.
Some helpful things to know about mosquitoes before going camping is that the males mosquitoes do not bite, it’s only the female ones that do. They have to have energy to reproduce and lay their eggs, so they steal out blood. I don’t like it either, don’t worry. The eggs that they lay must be around water to hatch, otherwise they will die. Most mosquitoes are like your children that never want to grow up. They never leave far from where they are born. Most of the mosquitoes in whatever location you are in have been there most likely for millions of years. Sometimes they travel but not very far. Mosquitoes normally are out and eating (you) in the morning or evening hours. They only like to come out while the sun is away. It’s too hot during the day. I am not saying you won’t get bitten during the day, I know that I have. It just seems like they don’t like me, or they like me I mean.
